Night Light | Did You Miss Us?

Night’s Second Annual Company Offsite

We’ve been publishing Night Light for a little over a year and 3 months now, and we’ve never missed an edition. Well, we missed one last week and I couldn’t be more proud of why we missed it.

Next year we’ll need a drone to squeeze everyone in.

Last week we had our second annual company offsite in Oceanside, CA. Because we grew during the pandemic, most of our team has been working remote from Los Angeles, Austin, New York and a few other cities. In just the past year, we’ve nearly doubled the number of Night employees. After this offsite I’ve realized how important it is to get everyone in the same room together to meet in-person.

This year’s theme was Top Gun, our Ops team crushed it.

Ezra and I kicked off the event by going over our vision for 2024:

✅ What worked and what didn’t over the past year
✅ Focus areas for the future
✅ The changing landscape of the entertainment industry

We also had our annual Shark Tank project (aptly named Flight Deck). Teams are randomly assigned to come up with a creator product, business, or idea to pitch to our Night Labs team. We were all impressed by the results. My number one priority is keeping the culture and community at Night that we’ve built over the last few years. Things like our offsite make this happen.

Excited for 2024.

Next year we’re getting Mark Cuban.
