AMP members arrested in Union Square

I’m sure you’ve heard by now, Kai Cenat and other members of AMP were arrested by NYPD earlier this week after a fan giveaway got too large for police to contain. It’s estimated that 2,000 people attended to see AMP and Kai in-person. Since last week, Kai has put out a statement (at the 9:00 mark) on his most recent Twitch stream, addressing the incident.

I thought Kai was candid and honest in his apology. As the business grows, it’s important to understand the power that creators have to affect the actions of people who watch their content. Many other creators, like Jidion, have offered their thoughts on how this happened. So far, I see most people agreeing that this has been an eye opening experience that helps us understand the influence that the biggest content creators on earth have.

Looking forward to Kai joining everyone else back on stream soon.
